My Short Soccer Career

Not long ago from now
I was still struggling and miserable about myself being in the soccer team
I was not sure why I am there

I keep asking myself
should I still continue my soccer career
or just leave the team and back to my normal life

But I know that I love sports a lot

my passion in sports will not die easily

the devil in me cause me to be distressed
at the same time
the angel in me telling not to give up

holding me stong out there
on the field
the devil lost

my perserverance help me go through all the hard cores

I
s hard
is really difficult to deal with it
firts dealing with the things that i'm not familiar with
second dealing with my injured knee
even my mentors back home advised me to stop playing sports before my knee fully recover

I knew they are worried about meas well as my families
but I'm glad i got support form them

Once I told a friend that I could not find any encouragement and enjoyment in soccer

because soccer involve a lots of running which I dislike the most

however
I still insist to give it a try

coming out with an injured knee
I played my first match in this pre-season
M
AGIC happens!!!

I ran fully 90 minutes on the field

trying to penetrate opponents
trying to play with my semi-skills

trying to help the team with whatever I have
trying to be a presentable left foward wing
I never ever thought that I can run 90 minutes

and yet still feel all right

I had a whole different view on soccer

the first time I step on the soccer field

I was a bit discourage by the huge field

how could 11 players share such a big field

compare to the volleyball court that fill with only 6 players
a soccer field is way too big
but now i can proudly say a soccer field is not that large

I am able to dominate the space

I have no clue how soccer will affect my life

perhaps left some side effects and an ugly scar on my knee

no matter good or bad

I am sure that this short period of time in the soccer teamwill add a wonderdul page in my life

leaving me special memories

I am the mster of my fate
I am the captain of my soul (from movie: Invictus, poem by: William Ernest Henley)
